I really like the look of this beauty, which I saw on another forum:

yeah! thats nice! I thought about hanging them by a single hook around the pivot, tang up with the blade slightly open. would you advise not to because of putting stress on the pin?
I don't think the weight of the razor would be unnecessary stress on the pin. It's not like the razor weighs 10 pounds. However, that's just my opinion, and I'm sure others here would advise against.
However, it'd be nice for razors with blade etching, so customers could see the designs and such.
The razors in that photo above are held open using magnets behind the velvet.
Here is another way of doing it using shoulder hooks. I highly doubt it puts any stress on the pivot as they are also supported from below.
The cabinet is made from tiger oak. Excuse the photography.

Very nice Scipio. My barber has a case very much like yours. Looks great on his wall. Best, wildhog
You could get an old barber's cabinet and open the drawer! Ohhhh Ahhaaaa! Covered in glass! Watch the kids!!:D
The burl case I purchased, the black one is a shadow box that I installed a purple felt backing on and used brass right angle hooks.
