I'm glad that you like Randy's photos!
I had met the gentleman with the razors a few months back. He said he had a few. I played email tag with him for a few months and we finally were able to set a date. He gets the collection out and inspects/maintains it from time to time. He did that that on the day we were able to stop bye.
A very good long day was had and we were tired by the time we got home. I did get a few razors which will require some significant hours of work to be ready for prime time..those were shown on top of the white "Parts" box. None of the razors I bought would be classified as high as fair but all are salvageable.

After coming home, I spent a day going through that "Parts" box and unpinning and cleaning scales and sending some badly trashed razors and scales into the trash bin. I now have a fair stock of single and pairs of scales for renewing razors: They will be kept in a well ventilated area of my shop!

And trashed with a lot more broken scales

PS. Single razors at shops are usually the rule now and the days of a dozen for a buck are long gone. I have been at this for a couple years and have found that the best way to find razors is to talk to people and become known to shop keepers and tradesmen as a bit of a razor geek. Some of my best leads were from shop keepers who called the number on my business card at a later date . Some of the factories made a million razors a year and so there will be some surfacing from time to time. I know of guys that went to a shop the week after I had a skunk and found a dozen razors, and vice-versa!.
Keep on looking!
