First shave with my family tree flaschner. honed it myself and it went great! no nicks and my technique is coming along very well.Even got the chin pretty well. this is such an art form I have a long ways to go but the journey is so much fun!http:// the razor shaves like a dream and has a great feel in the hand and balance. very very cool.Glad I didn't just frame it.
Hey, it's great to see a thread about Master Flaschner, thanks!
For those who want to see other pictures of the Master's shop in Székesfehérvár (60 km from Budapest, pronounce it see-cash-fah-heer-vaar), here is a link of an article I wrote in my wetshaving blog Pamacs és penge – sorry, it's all in hungarian... :)
Master Flashner left Budapest leaving that shop to his son. Now, his own shop in Székesfehérvár is a real Ali Baba's cave of treasures, just look at the pictures...
Shaving test with the latest Master Flaschner razor: 7/8" Flaschner, Full Hollow Ground, Round Point, Decorated Spine, Stainless Steel, w/White ebony Scales. The result is: very good, very smooth shaving :)

Looks wonderful!
Still waiting for mine.
Does he purchase his razor blanks from other companies and then perform the finish grinding like Wacker does or does he have the stamping equipment to make the razor blanks himself like Dovo?
Excellent thread :tu
Thank you my friend! :)
Yes he purchase his razor blanks from Dovo and from Henckels and then perform the finish grinding.
Cheers,
Béla
