I'm in my second week of barber school and we started practicing shaving strokes today. I need a suggestion on disposable blade razors; the ones they gave us are horribly balanced. Thanks in advance for your help.

From another web site: Parker SR 1 replaceable blade straight razor and I am using Feather, Derby, and Merkur blades. I am getting a closer more comfortable shave than any of the traditional straight I own even after being honed to ready to shave by the honemeisters . Under 20$
My recommendation would be a Feather disposable blade razor.
IMO they are real quality products.
A bit more expensive than most, but well worth the dough!
What Birnando says, the Feathers are superb.
I recommend the new Feather SS, usually sold in Japan only, but these guys have a few in stock: Straight Razors - Feather Artist Club - Traditional Shaving
sorry for the delay; I've not been around a computer. I've been looking at the Artist Club. I'd love to get one in my hand before I shell out the cash. Thanks guys.
looked at the link on the SS; nice.
If you want quality get a feather. Yes it costs a lot more, but just as everything else, that's simply the cost of manufacturing quality. Since it's going to be a professional tool, I guess the cost difference probably doesn't matter that much, and you can justify it more than anybody else.
I have a Feather DX, but I must say, the poor mans version is the Diane 21 with the Japanese super stainless disposable blades. I thought you would want to know some options.

Another vote for the Parker. Inexpensive and great balance.
Not to hijack, and this is a dumb question, but why are you guys using disposable blades instead of the real thing? Wont the students have to know how to strop a razor etc after they graduate?
