Any one familiar with this brand of Razor?

Came across this brand and wondered about its reputation and history

One of the premier Sheffield makers. You can see many of them in this razor club thread here . As for the one you're considering, condition is paramount AFAIC. They made quite a few in the couple of hundred years they were around so don't go overboard if the condition isn't good or the price is too high. Check ebay completed items to compare market prices.

Thanks. Im looking at one that is in excellent condition with the original scale. its only defect is that it closes slightly to the right but does not touch the side.
