Does anyone know who made this?

Another recent addition, I am fairly sure the scales do not belong to this blade, there is evidence of a re-pinning job on the tang pin which can't be seen in this photo, there are no makers stamps, or marks anywhere on the tang front or back, I have seen this etch design somewhere before with a reference to the Thistle Cutlery Co, the steel is good quality, and I think the blade will clean up quite well, there are a couple of tiny chips to the edge which should hone out OK

How about a close up of the tang stamp? The scales are Crown and Sword, to be certain!

Yes. The razor was re-scaled. Scales are from ERN razor.
There were several "Thistle Cutlery Co." marks. To identify the blade, need to see the tang/mark picture. I hope, it will be helpful.

Yes, You are correct. This one simply says Crown and Sword 1720 and Made in Germany on the back tang. I believe I gathered "Cutlery" from a razor guide!:D Thanks

Thank you. I suppose Ern was a prolific family name. I wonder who he was in relation to the eventual Ern trademark? Also, is this before or after the Ern stamp? I suppose we have hijacked this thread!:HJ (I always wanted to use that smiley!)...get it on.. Tom
