Latest antique Find!!! Stein and barbers notch ;D
So i decided to bring a few of my old Beatles and Pink Floyd records to trade at an antique shop in the Montrose area of Houston..I scored!!!! I got a Fredrick Rynolds barber's notch.. it has these cool weird scales that almost look like dry splattered blood.. any of yall know what they are made of? The blade also came with its original box! The scales are in good shape but the very tip of the blade seems to clip with the wedge (the wedge is made of a very soft metal) any of yall know how i can fix that? i might need to repin it too, it is not centered (it grazes to the right side a bit.) i don't want to tap the pin because it is already really tight. i also got a 1950s JUMBO stein! ITS HUGE!!! I have a pic of the stein compared with a normal pint glass... Anyways back to the blade.. its in great shape! only thing is that there is a little chip close to the heel.. should i use my norton 220 or 1000 the hone it out? Also its pretty big.. i have a pic with it next with my B.Lowe which is a 5/8 and my other Fredrick Rynolds... what size do yall think it is? thanks!!!
