Who did you order it from? It may be, but you would have to check with the vendor......
Their website indicates that all razors are hand honed and "shave ready", but that's if it is coming directly from Hart.

I have 4 Hart Steel Razors 2 are 6/8 Square 1 is 6/8 Round and the other is 7/8 Square and I could shave with them all right out of the box . Thats me I have read other post that theres needed some touch up.

Congratulations on purchasing a fine U.S. made straight razor. Hart razors are no nonsense serious razors and I enjoy mine very much. All of the Hart's I have purchased have been shave ready on delivery. You might want to keep in mind when your Hart may need honing that Hart hones their razors at the shop with one layer of electrical tape on the spine. I have a 6/8 square point also, beautiful razor. It did indeed come ready to use right out of the box.

Congrats. I've got a 6/8 round point and it's a fantastic shaving razor.
I am getting jealous, thinking about ordering a Hart Razor myself.
