There should be no noticeable hone wear on a new razor. That's why it's called new. What they do at the factory should barely be noticeable. There certainly should not be uneven wear.

I just checked a Dovo I bought new recently. It does have hone marks, but they're narrower than the bevel as seen from the side. It's about 1/32". I guess to some that might be barely perceptible and to others not. But I think we can all agree that the razor should not come out of the factory with uneven hone marks.
