The tang appears to be marked with Wostenholm & Son's pipe trademark
I don't know anything about Kane Cutlery or Kane, PA though
Is there anything on the other side of the tang? Usually they have a long "George Wostenholm & Sons Original Pipe Razor etc...". If there is "Sheffield" and not "England" it is probably prior than 1891. From the shape I'd say it is from the second half of the 19th century.
The box might not be original to the razor (I have one or two Pipe boxes, they are different). There can be two main possibilities: a) the original box went lost/broken and it was substituted, or who sold you the razor gave you a box from somewhere else (this can apply to you or to whom owned the razor before you) to make a complete set, and b) this particular razor was made by W. for resale, and so the box has the name of the company/shop that sold it. But I have no info on Kane Cutlery. Also this box seems younger than the razor, to my eye.
Have it clean and sharp, and enjoy it! Wostenholms are renowed and loved razors! :)
