Stored razors - will they stay shave ready?

I've a few razors that I'm going to store for a few months, assuming they're stored properly (cleaned, dried, waxed and kept in a sealed container with dessicant) will a shave ready razor still be good to go some months later?

Logic says yes but I've never stored razors for any length of time so don't have any experience if this is okay.

P.S. any storage tips welcomed.

I store my razors in a similar fashion to what you describe. Due to the size of my collection I only get to shave with each razor about once a year. I haven't perceived any issues with the razors getting duller than they were but I really can't tell for sure. Once in a while I find a razor that seems to need a trip to the pasted strop but that may have just been due to a change in my honing skills and expectations from the razor over the last several years. So, based on my experience I would say don't worry about the storage and have a pasted something on hand if you need to refine the edge or just find that you are expecting a little more than last time. If you protect the edge from oxidation they will.
I have a number of NOS razors that were shave ready after half a century or so.

+1. I forgot about the ones I had that I found didn't need sharpening.

They'll be fine. I'd recommend checking them periodically to make sure that the blade still has an even coating of oil (or whatever you are using), and of course reapply if necessary.

Once I read in a book that rust actually makes razors sharper, because consuming the edge, it narrows it. A couple of months ago I got a rusted razor, and the edge was very sharp and so thin to crumble away if touched. So, in theory, the microscopical rust that will create over months on a waxed edge will be so thin that, after a few laps on the strop, you will have a wonderful shave!

Stimpy you forgot to take into consideration his legs which takes it to 3 razors per day:- 3 x 365 = warehouse of razors
