Hi guys i am after some info on a razor i am selling had a few questions that i just simply cant answer and while looking up info stumbled across this site
You didn't write what your questions are.
I hope none of them are about what it's worth because appraisals are against the rules.
def not after value main questions i have been getting is era and and about handle i have worked out handle is only made of plastic not ivory but one question i have is how rare it is as i cant seem to find another one like it in any search i have done to try to identify it myself or is it just a common one and not special enough to be in other peoples collection and because i cant find another i am tempted to keep a hold of it but i know nothing of straight razors so am just unsure ..
But on a side note i couldn't believe i found such a big group of people like yourselves still using such a razor as mentioned in forum its a long lost art and not every day you hear of someone using such razors until i found this site anyway and damm there is some extremely nice razors around
just amazing to look at all the different types you guys and girls are collecting
It isn't a particularly desirable brand, so to most people it is in the same category of millions of other razors in similar condition.
It looks like a good razor to restore and make into a shaver, whether it's worth doing the work is a whole different story.
You probably want to use some oil like wd40 or 3-in-1 to prevent the rust from becoming worse.
Fazza, now that you have joined the forum, why not join the rest of us and get that razor cleaned up and honed - then start shaving with it.
You may be surprised at how satisfying it is!
Welcome to SRP BTW - hang on and enjoy the ride
Fazza, Welcome to SRP.
I found your razor very interesting.
As I understand, here is the same brand, but with another crown. It was not usual, that companies changed their marks/stamps.

I couldn't find who was the owner of this trademark. But I think Crown Razor Co. was near.:) IMO.
Thanks for replys i also noticed the crown was abit different to others i had seen along with the handle
Thanks Havachat45 for the welcome and the funny thing is after reading thru the site i have actually gotten abit of a interest in giving it a go
never thought i would but it seems you guys really enjoy using these razors and the result after you never know i might just have to get one to use now though 1 problem i have is a lump type thing on my cheek and a few moles that i would probly end up hacking into knowing my luck keen to know how you get around having lumps or moles
But anyway guys & girls thanks for your replys and time to reply i will definitely be hanging around and reading some more and see if the spark kicks in any more then it has allready has
Thanks Fazza
Have a read in the 'Shaving with straight razor' section of the site and you should find plenty of threads on this subject - or do a search using the box on the top right of the page.
With some practice you should get around them with little effort.
We look forward to hearing about your progress.
