Hard to tell from the pics. Possibly a lot of wear but seems to have been restored.
Looks hone-able but whoever does the job can tell you for sure.
I have a couple kamisoris.. One thing learned is you have to be careful on the length. Some are really short bladed. The short ones were made for women's hair likethe forehead and eyebrows. Th longer ones 45-55mm were made for guys. You can still use the short ones.. It just makes for a few more strokes on the mug... I only say that because yours looks a scosh short.. It could be an optical illusion? So if it is, don't let it be your "bar" for kamisoris. All that said, you still got a good deal. I have one in the same brand as yours that i paid more for. They take a wicked edge and are fun to shave with. Enjoy the ride.
A pic of the other side will tell us way more :)
Kamisori are different, some find them different in a good way (me) and some sell them with a quickness...
I think if one were to start with them, they would avoid many of the problems of getting used to the differences :)
+1 to what Wintchase said, I have found that brand to take a keen edge also
The other side. Thanks all!

This looks like it was re-ground into a Bi-Bevel razor or perhaps made that way originally,,, I haven't seen one done like that myself.. I you were to ask me to make a bet, I would bet that someone gave up on honing and shaving with a true Kamisori style bevel and ground off the blade then sold it...
Normally there is a "hump" there to set the Asymmetrical bevel
like these pics show (TY Slur)

I do think it can be made shave ready, but it is going to be an experiment in honing, and you have to hope that the temper was not ruined if it was ground by an amateur
Thank you. As long as I can get it shave ready I'll be pleased. I guess it wont be a great example of a kamisori but its a start.
Happy Holidays everyone
Yep, that be a frankenrazor now.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that flat side has a bevel where it isn't supposed to.... You may be theproud owner of the only microtome kamisori in existance... Althought yougot off cheapyou may have bitten off more than you can cheew with this one.. It looks like someone screwed the pooch on that. You might ask one of the hone meisters if they can take hack at it and correct it..GSsixgun might be able tohelp you? It looks like it might be a lost cause as flat as it is though.... Then again, i have one thatis pretty flat too (a Yamamasa)... Not as flat as yours, but flat...anditis one of myfavorites....
Like I thought, a lot of wear & reground. It's a kamisori Jim but not as we know it.
