Crown and Castle
I found a Crown and Castle 13/16 "ESCO" for $20 at an antique store today. The blade is rust free with a little bit of black patina on the tang and it has bone scales that need a little cleaning.
I will post some pics as soon as I get to my camera. It says Made and Ground in Germany. On the blade is etched "ESCO" and under that is REAL GERMAN HOLLOW GROUND". I an unable to find any info on this razor so I an calling out to those that know.
Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks
Greg

Nice scales. I dont know why but I really like the old bones. Are they cracked at all?

No cracks or signs of wear, just dirty

I have never seen a Crown & Castle without an engraved blade, or with a makers mark - all they usually say on the tang is "Made and Hollow Ground in Germany."
ESCO was a mark used by the Benedict Manufacturing Co (out of business by 1954) - I don't know why they used 'ES' unless it was from their location - East Syracuse, or from another one of their products (they were cutlery merchants and silver-platers) - Empire Silver Co.
