I have been searching online and but have some up empty handed as far the history on it and I am very interested in finding another one. It is etched "Ideal Shaver", if anyone has heard or seen or has one like it please let me know. Thanks.

Yes, I will try to get a better picture showing the "Ideal" etch, and no there is no number on the tang which I was also wondering about because all of the other Bokers I have seen have had some sort of number. I pulled those scales off my old damaged 1336 before I restored it, it seems to me that the boker scales we all interchanged all the time, is this true?
Yes boker would have placed their blades in any of 30 or so set of scales. from ivory to plain black to silver inlays and bolsters both with and without the tree logo on the scales. think about it like cars... you can by a ford.... lots of models in many different colors. same thing with razor different people want different options there used to be part of the 1906 boker catalog in the broker razor club area and you can see some options, Try looking around post 110 in the boker brotherhood... Doc got some info directly from the boker folks.

Okay, thanks for the info on the scales, however I know that it came with all black celluloid ones so I have had difficulty locating information on scales alone. Which makes sense after what you guys have said about them being constantly interchanged.

WOW thanks for the book, I looked and mine is not in there however there is a "Clean Shaver" which I am not interested in looking for.
