Lynn, I had a Winchester 8530, 5/8 arrive today. It is in very nice condition and was pretty sharp. I didn't have to do too much honing.
I paid $69.95 for it and don't feel bad about that. Looking forward to tomorrow morning. I had to do a bit of searching to find information
about them. I still haven't been able to learn when they were made. Learner
I'm sure they just contracted and slapped the name on there. The thing is, we think it's cool and the gun guys think it's cool, so you get twice the people wanting them. I personally don't want to pay the extra price for the name. I carry a Winchester pocket knife at work. It's nothing special but it gets the job done. Attachment 225835
I used to have a cat with 7 toes on each paw and a green eye and a blue eye. Called it Lucky!
Our Mickey passed away last year. He is missed.
Winchesters had to have been made by Geneva, I think! I cannot see the gunmaker having a razor factory, much less a knife factory! Cats n's Winchesters! :D
I came across information that Winchester razors were made from 1919 to 1942. If anyone thinks this is not right please say so.
Picked up this puppy for $10 at a flea market, just needs a good cleaning.
