First restoration (aka slippery slope into addiction...)
Well, I think all things considered this turned out pretty well. This started out as a pretty beat-up W&B with plenty of rust and messed up scales:

The scales were ruined and I wanted to make a daily shaver, not a museum piece with this one. So rather than trying to recreate the original scales, I made some new ones out of Bocote with a Cocobolo wedge for a bit of contrast, all finished in about eight coats of tung oil.

I think the only thing I messed up were the pins, having left them too long, giving me too much material to work on. But considering this was my first attempt at any kind of peening or riveting, it could have been worse. Besides, I can always re-do those when I have some time on my hands.

Now, after having gone on a bit of an ebay frenzy, I'm awaiting the arrival of some bone and horn so I can get to work on that Tally-ho. And the Leon. And the York Cutlery. And the Cadman... :D Thanks to all who have gone down this route before and shared your experiences. Your advice is very much appreciated!
If you'll excuse me, I have a razor to try out.
