My New Addition
As I entered the world of straight razors, I swore I would not purchase more than one. But what happens when that one needs to be honed? Ok so I'll need two and no more. Famous last words. I am proud to present my third razor, since December 2011.
The blade is a 5/8 near mint Case Red Imp, purchased from Lynn. Unfortunately the original scales were in the wind. I turned to Glen at Gem Star Customs. As I was not interested in finding original scales, I selected cranberry-juice flash acrylic to be used for the new set. The scales are finished with nickel pins, stainless washers and brass washer bearings.
Special thanks to Glen as his expertise in design and functionality was called upon, and Lynn whose trustworthiness is beyond reproach. I could not be happier with the outcome and look forward to your feedback.

Red imps are one of those razors that never leave the rotation... Even long after the scales rot off.. Nice one!
