Overall side by side. The 401 "Platinum" is in the original (albeit wavy) plastic and the 401 in circles is in the wenge scales.

Grind: Platinum is on the right

Spine Width: Platinum is slightly thinner

Blade Size: The Platinum's edge is set at the 5" mark (barely past 5/8 which leads me to believe it was ~11/16 brand new). The Circles' edge is at the 7" mark (very close to 13/16).

Well, I had to find out, and the price was right. Other than one being a round point and the other a spike, one has cool scales while the other has really cool scales.

Heal to toe, both are 2.769"
spine width similar, .178" & .181"
Did not put calipers on the width of blades, as I didn't want to touch the cutting edge with it, but a ruler showed both to be 5/8". Both appear to have the same grind, to my noob eye.
Both have a similar feel on the skin while shaving. While I can feel a difference on the skin between, my Friodur, goldedge, genco, and 401; I cannot tell a diffence between these two individual razors while shaving. Hopefully that makes sense.

Thank you TwistedOak & RJD for sharing your experience between these two.
Its interesting to speculate about the many eccentricities with straight razors.
Will be handy for future reference.
