Information is yet hard to find, especially reliable ones.
This is of coarse the reason, after long searching, I depand on your help, with enormous gratitude!

Could be, but when and how do you know if it is honed off, like how does whone see when it is "mint", or when the scales are heavely sanded?

This is my go-to site for Sheffield indexes.

Using it can be a little tricky because names were sometimes misspelled or spelled with uncommon variations, but this should get you a solid majority of the Sheffield makers.
