Thread: Wade & Butcher I got for a steal? Anbody know any info on it?

So I just got this Wade off of ebay the other day and I just recieved it in the mail today. Got it for only $17 on a buy it now listing. Well I dont know anything about this razor and was hoping someone may know about them, any info would be greatly appreciated. Blade is 7/8

You won't be allowed to use that razor while you're in jail. I'll be happy to drive you to jail and keep it for you until you get out. I'll take great care of it for you. I may forget to pick you up when you get out, but I'll try to remember, honest, I really will. I must disclose, however, that I do tend to be forgetful sometimes.

I was wondering around the date it may have been made, and why it's called "The Washington razor", and anything else about it

It doesn't have "England" under Sheffield so it is before 1891. Washington probably refers to President George Washington. IIRC they started etching blades around 1850 so it is probably in that ballpark. Just speculating though. Nice grab.
