Razors not to buy
I am new to straight razor shaving ,after purchasing the DVD and basic equipment I have come to enjoy the art. If anyone could help me out I have read the lost of razor to not buy one of which is listed as best quality but on the list of good razors is listed the Dovo brand after looking around I have found a great deal on a new Dovo razor but it is listed as best quality grade made by Dovo is this a good razor or not
thanks for anyone's help

A Dovo Best Quality is a fine razor to start with.
Purchase from a vendor that hones it to shave ready (and has a good reputation for honing), and you'll be good to go.

I bought 2 Dovo Best Quality razors to start with from a site vendor and shave ready. The price is very reasonable and have been using them with no problems whatsoever. Ive since expanded my collection somewhat with some more expensive models and some vintage models and I still use the Best Quality razors. I think they give a great shave and am pleased with the value. Hope this helps

The 'Best Quality' on the "Razors to Avoid" list is a _brand_ of razor.
The Dovo "Best Quality" is a model within the Dovo brand, and it's a good razor. It's Dovo's "entry-level" razor - simple scales, no fancy features. But it's well-ground, well-tempered steel.
