BigTex21,
I have a 9/16 'no-name' Solingen razor that I use for testing hones etc. It had a lot of hone wear when I got it, but it was even, and it honed up into a stunning shaver :)
Have fun !
Best regards
Russ

A lot of "even" hone wear on a razor could mean the owner loved the razor and used it a lot. It could be a really good razor or it could mean it was not a good razor and he had trouble getting an edge on it. One the other hand a lot of "uneven" hone wear probably means the owner didn't know what he was doing and it could still be a good razor. It's pretty much pot luck. As for me if it isn't too bad I will buy it if the price is right just to find out.
