Usually they will have tang stamp and sometimes they dont. Have a pic?
Could be a Wapi, but mine have a "SF" over a "K" surrounded by a inverted tri-angle.
Interested in how it shaves. Read somewhere that the time period that it was made in causes differences in the shave???
Haven't shaved it yet has to be honed I'll b passing thAt off to the pros.. I'll let u know
During the Wapi craze of 07-08 there was much debate over the Stamped ones and the Non-Stamped ones..
When they were both plentiful most everyone claimed the Stamped Wapis were better, I know you might find this hard to believe but when the Stamped ones became scarce, the Non-stamped ones miraculously became better shavers :rofl2:
Honestly I never noted a difference in them when honing them...
"Wapi craze" :rofl2:
Sounds like a 50s dance fad!
If it looks like a wapi, feels like a wapi and shaves like a wapi... then it's a wapi?
I think all that needs to be said has been already.
Enjoy the shave, my stamped SFK is delicious!
I've heard of different stampings on them as well... something to do with french?
I believe the stamps were FSM.
