Bob, if you'll show us the razor and its stamps, it'll be more helpful. IMO.
...Dorko Premier ...
No problem, I'll post a photo when the mail delivers it. Thanks.
Bob
Patiently waiting.
Well, I don't think it is a Dorko but rather a razor made for Premier Cutlery by somebody in Solingen. Premier Cutlery still exists in Canada and the UK, I think. I remember them selling knives here, folders and fixed blade. Just curious as to who in Solingen actually made them. But yea, still patiently waiting in any case.

Screen shot of the original ebay ad? If that's where you got it, so Brooksie can have a Looksie?
OK, finally got the razor today and was able to see who made it. Sellers photos were too blurry to read.

Still with all the different importers using the same name , Premier, it gets really confusing for me at least. No Dorko but still very OK by me.

Premier Cutlery Co. was in business 1921-1955. Located at 47 West 42nd Street, N.Y. It was an import agency. They dealt in all types of cutlery. Organized in 1921, Abe Siegel was president, Jack Wassererg, vice president, Hanry A. Silberstein, secretary and treasurer. Many of their products were imported from Germany.

Thanks for that info. To add to the confusion there are still companies, importers?, in Canada and England trading by the name very similar names. I remember seeing Premier brand knives when I was a kid more than 50 years ago. I guess all this still begs the question of who actually made the razor somewhere in Germany as it does not say Solingen anywhere on it. Probably another DD type mystery. Whoever made did a good job of it I think.

Hey Bob, next time don't tease us with a little "leg", give us a full body shot photo. :)
Unfortunately, it's impossible to say correctly which companies made razors for a great number of importers.
Hardly ever to find documents that confirm that fact.
We can only guess.:)
This is just yacking I guess. But I've got a Premier Lifetime marked Sheffield Steel. It doesn't have a country of manufacture, but it's a great razor.
Yea, I guess the importer just sourced razors from whomever gave a deal on a production run for them. Mind you Solingen makers did use Sheffield Steel too so country of origin could be Germany and not England as one would think when it is marked Sheffield Steel. Main thing is, like you say, that it is a good shaver.
