EOD, I'm a fan of the heavy grind also. Earlier this wk, I pulled open the drawer that has my current rotation and noticed there were two hollows and 9 heavies. That told me alot. They're harder to find & often cost more, but when you meet one where the fit/ergos work for you its a lovely meeting.
My Wade & Butcher near wedge. Great shaver.
This old semi-wedgey beast is the best shaver I own.

I'm pretty fond of the wedge and 1/4 hollow blades.
I sold my 5/8 wedges :( I had a Torrey and an G.D. Abrams and sons superwedge. Both shaved amazing but the wife wanted me to thin out the collection. Little does she know I have a Union, Spike wedge in the mail :)
I am amazed by my Spike. The size, weight etc just really clicked with me. I will be keeping an eye out for another.
I generally really like heavy grinds; the exceptions are some of the ones from hard steel. I just find the hard steel and lack of flex to be a bit unforgiving sometimes.
Wow, that is a beautiful razor! Do you have some info on it so that I could keep an eye out for one?
