Anybody used a Blue Wonder?

I have this razor that I honed up this afternoon, and I can't wait to try it. It feels great in my hand. I have a feeling this might become one of my favorites.

Anyone know anything about these Blue Wonders?

The tang reads "Ewald Plumacher, Solingen-Weyer, Made in Germany."

I have one more that has a crack in the handle. I'll probably clean it up and offer it as a newbie special.

The previous owner had managed to put a frowning smile on it--smiling at the ends and frowing in the middle. :rant:

I did some aggressive steep angle honing and sawing on my 220-grit waterstone, and then spent about two hours putting the bevel back. It honed up nicely--plinks hanging hairs all along the blade.

Just curious if I have something nice here.

I had one by that name, but I don't know if it was the same razor. Mine had a Seattle hardware company's name on the shank, though the other side did say something about being made in germany. The blade was blued which made for a nice visual affect, and I'm assuming was the basis for the "blue" part of the name. It was a decent enough razor, good but not great. I gave it away to a needy newbie who promptly disappeared.

Sorry to dredge this one up, but I just picked up a Blue Wonder Barber's Special. Says Sheffield steel, ground in Germany on the shank. Don't like the scales (see-through plastic's not my cup of tea), but a nice blade nonetheless.

It cleaned up really easily, took an edge really quickly, and shaves very well - I've used it a few times now and it does an excellent job. All in all a nice razor.

I've actually just sold this razor to another member. It did take a nice edge. :)

im living in germany right now and i have found some new razors ewald plumacher wonder (thy are unfortunately a little bit rusty) do someone know what could be about the value of these razors.

It also took a very good edge and was a pleasure to shave with.
