I can't remember what they are called, but during the heyday of Miami Vice you could buy razors that shaved you down to a five oclock shadow or more. Anybody know what these are called? Can you still get them, and where?

Are you going to a George Michael look-a-like contest?
I think the razors were disposible with big guide wires across the blade. Going for the George Michael look, but my gilrfriend just likes me when I haven't shaved for a few days. I like the look, too.
I usually shave with a DE alternating with a STR8, but if I let it go more than a few days I must use a STR8 to shave.
I'd look it up, but I don't know what to put in the search box.
Can't help you with the razor, maybe it was called the Don Johnson, j/k. get a Beard trimmer with the built in adjustable comb. That should keep you scruffy looking.
Remington and norelco make "stubble" electric razors for that reason. Usually run between $35-$50 depending on the make, and can be had at any big box store.
Ran across this looking for a solution for you, it was called the "Stubble trimmer" made by Wahl, and I did find a bunch actually called "stubble trimmer" by different makers

I think they are shavettes with a guard on them. Barbers and hair stylists still use them to feather hair. Im not 100% on this but I have one laying around somewhere.
A blunt straight will leave a fair bit of stubble behind.

In my early honing days, I honed a few razors to those exact specifications.
I'd say grab a set of clippers. They'll get you the look you want and, as an added bonus, free haircuts.
