What is the history behind this razor?

I have a razor with the words "Sensation, without rival, without peer," etched on the blade, and manufactured for "T H O & Meredith & co Toronto" just above that on the blade. I would like to know more about this razor. Does anyone know the history, or quality of this item?

This is one of those razors that was manufactured for a specific retailer by someone, somewhere, most likely germany or england. I've found that finding out the actual producers of the blade is next to impossible. There are a few guys on here that have knowledge of some of the more recognized importers and who they imported razors from.

Perhaps directing your research to the trademarks on the blade "Sensation, without rival, without peer," and who registered the trademark might put you in the right direction. Can you take some better pictures of the tang and any stamping that might be on the sides of it?
