Razor "Circa" date...
Can someone tell me the year that Sheffields were required to add England to the blade?
I have a "Frederick's Celebrated Razor Sheffield" with "Silver Steel" etched on the blade. I've done a lot of searching and believe the best case scenario will be for me to identify when the country of origin was required to be included.

After the McKinley Tariiff Act of 1890 came into force - so 1891 and onwards for 'England' stamped on the tang.

If you don't mind me saying so, I think the "silver steel" stamp is a better identification mark. Silver Steel stamps were in use from around 1820 and up until around 1880, when they were abandoned. So it seems your Frederick's was manufactured a bit, and perhaps a fair bit, before 1891, judging by that stamp.
