I dont know what you should PAY for it, but I dont see anything wrong that would make me not WANT to buy it.
Hello Blomski,
I would buy it. However, I would take it to a honer to make sure its shave ready and disinfected. I don't know much more on the razor itself (cant read dutch?) but if you like it go for it!
Is that a decent razor? I'm a newbie :o
Personally I don't know. I haven't had much expierence with vintage razors. If your a first time shaver I would recommend a dovo razor with a plastic handle to start. They're cheap and you can always buy different scales to update if you fall under the straight razor spell.
For only 13 euros thats pretty good buy for a vintage. Also if this is your first razor, you have a to decide what kinda razor you want.... full hollow, half hollow etc.... they all have their uses, pro's and con's.
I haven't found a cheap Dovo razor yet.... I personally think vintage razors have soul... As for the full and half hollow, isn't that something you have to find out for yourself?
You wont be disapointed with any Le grelot for sure, top quality fantastic shavers!
Blomski,
My friend Martin is correct. The Le Grelot is a gem of a razor. I have five Le Grelot and every morning I bow to them in the shave den. Love those razors. Anyway, from the photo the razor seems to be in good shape. So, yes, grab it. Then find someone on the forum to clean it up and hone it professionally.
