stub stail ? heck there is no tail !!!

well this was a $10 BIN that i gambled on ... its pretty bad , i think someone tried to hone it on a bench grinfer ( i might even try that ..lol) blade is very un evenly shaped , thicker in the toe/heel then center at the spine , scales look like my dog ate them but I LOVE IT !!!

it was listed as having no name but there was one under all the rust .. i just cant read it ...lol... has jimps on top and bottom as well as where the tail would be , the jimps look like this( my explanation of uneven marks --->) II//I/IIIIIII////III in directions like those shapes if you know what i mean , and look to be about the same on the end where tail would be .. makes me wonder if this razor was like that or if someone broke off the tail and grinded it themself .. i know it is a perfect or near radius ..

Probably a French razor from somewhere in the 19th century. I don't know about dating these French razors any more specific, but I do know the French had this knack for making razors without tails, God knows why.

Sometimes after the 1st100 yrs they just need to rest...rip.

Think this razor was made like that, the older France razors (before 1900) have no tail, why i dont now. I have a couple dumas aines whitout them.

this thread has just started a new quest !!! now either im gonna have to find one that i can shave with , or work some magic on this one ... aaahhhh does it ever end ???? ...lol
