Where are you at? There might be someone near you that you don't know about.

The second razor arrived today, dove 6/8 best quality. still waiting on the astrale to show up. Well the best quality came shave ready, and i gave it a go. I have been using a no sharpen this whole time, and i should have bought a real razor sooner. The difference was night and day. I really cant believe the difference between the two razors. This whole time i thought the no sharpen was great but boy was i wrong. And the best part was, i already have the technique down from using the other one for so long, i could do my whole face tonight. Still waiting for the astrale to arrive and have it sent off.

Congratulations for your success. That strop is not awesome, but will do the job, pull strong with the handle and stay light with the blade. And careful it's easy at the biginning to nick the strop with a bad movement and that could dull the blade.
By the way dovo best quality was my first razor too, I love that blade, sharp, flexible and easy to hone.

awsome to hear it is such a great blade. I heard a lot about them reading over the years, which is why i picked it. Yeah i intend to get a better strop soon, but buying two razors, a strop, and dressing was a lot for one weekend i felt and could not justify spending anymore. Plus i want to learn to strop on something cheap, so i feel more comfortable when i buy a better one. I still view the astrale as my first razor simply because i bought it first.
