Glen,
are you preparing cook with razor?
Really nice shave this morning (I zonked out last night) double checked the edge after the shave to see if there was any excessive wear like you often find with the Paki razors that can actually take an edge but I saw no issues at 30x.. Re-stropped and on the way home to ya !!
You will have to let us know how the edge holds up in the long run..

Got it looking a bit nicer :)
Enjoy the razor
Thats great to hear. I'll be looking forward to it.
Glen, is the pattern absent on the back? Is the pattern etched?
I thought it was a PW steel based on the earlier photos....
Interesting.
Cool razor, I am glad it is the real deal...I was skeptical when I assumed it was PW. I still find it interesting that a maker would "fake" a PW steel with etching, but it seems like back in the day they did lots of interesting things to sell products.
Take care of it, I think you have a somewhat unique razor.
I don't think your "avarage joe" would've every seen PW steel or even heard of it back when it was made. Same with today, besides people who are into fine cutlary or SR's, most men would've never heard of it. Its a very specialty style of metal that is just far too expensive or hard to make to use for much.
I bet if each of us asked 1000 people we would get maybe combined 50 people who know what it is.
Just got it back today. Thank you for the sharpening. It is (just from the feel of the edge) the sharpest blade I have now. Unfortunately I just got done shaving about 1 hour before the mail man came. So now to wait a day or 2 to test it.
And again thank you Glen!!!
Hone it and shave with it. Looks ok.
