I think you want to look at it as getting a very good lesson on the cheap.

I've done the same. Bought a cheap razor that was pretty dirty in the pic. No big deal I thought, I can clean it up no problem. As I was cleaning it I found a crack pretty similar to the one in your pic. Plus, the scales were crap too Lesson learned and I now have another tape cutter for honing...

That's a shame. I've seen some people turn cracked blades into mini razors, but in this one the cracks is so close to the toe that I'm not sure if it would work. You'd also lose the etching.

Yes, I've been caught as well with not reading listings properly. Hopefully it's the only time you make that mistake.

I was so happy when it got here! I love Henry Sears! My wife says "nice razor... Did you noticed it is cracked!!!???" :/
Yep! Just noticed it! I told her!!!
I have bread knife some razors and made some shorties but i think this one is done... Bread knifing this one will be too much and the angle too steep! I might still do it and use it to cut tape for honing or something!
The scales i was able to salvage and mount them on another henry that had broken scales ... So not a total loss
