Magnetised razor?

I got a couple of restoation projects from the bay. One of them is magnetised. Anyone heard of this occuring before?

Yep, used to be a way to make a jig to keeep the blade flat as the person polished it, to keep the edge from knicking on the dremmel. Folks bought 500lb magnets from harbor frieght to hold the blade still. I tried it a long time ago but didn't care for that magnet effect... It will wear off over time.

Why not use an electro magnet?

I industry they use a lot of vacuum tables to hold objects.
