Are you just looking for some polishing and a good honing? Any number of guys here could help you out with that. Some of the best are Lynn, Randy Tuttle, and Joe Chandler. I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting. I don't remember all their user names; just search their names.
A full blown restoration could get pricey, like more than $100. Not sure who does that stuff now that Bill Ellis isn't around.

If you just want your razor cleanded up and sharpened, Lynn, Joe, Bill and Jason all do this (I don't know if Gary does much bladework or honing - but I'm sure he'll post if he does).
The only people who do regrinding are Bill and Joe Chandler (not sure if Lynn does).
As for scales, Joe, Gary, Jason and Bill can hook you up with whatever you want.
Oh, the other person who can do this, but I'm not sure how much of he wants to do, is Vlad.
A full restoration (polish/regrind, hone, scales) will cost you a minumum of between $65 - $80 plus shipping (with plain scales). Plain scales go for between $35 (two pin) to $45 (three pin) - if you want fancy scales, the sky's the limit.
So, you should make sure that your razor is worth it before you spend the cash.
Definitely add Bill Ellis to that list. Although Gary and Jason haven't quite got the same experience as the other two moke's, they're catching up very quickly.Quote:

Mine needed an actual regrind, not just a cleanup. Therefore I'll still stand behind Joe.
Rather than get into a who's a better restorer of razors, I think we should leave it with the fact that there are several talented folks here who can set you up with a slick pair of scales, refurbish a blade, regrind or hone.
Some charge more or less for specific services - the best thing is for you to decide what you want done and look at the various pictures of their work to decide who's style is what you're looking for and then contact that person to get a quote.
The other thing you can do is have one person do the blade work and another the scales - it will take a little longer and cost you some more in shipping, but if you know you want a pair of Gary's scales for a razor you need reground, you can get it done.
I feel quite fortunate that we have so many options to pick from - and I plan on getting a sample of everyone's work in due course!
Man, I want one of these razors - Just missed one on ebay today.
