Red Point Bismarck?
A local antique shop has a razor for sale that I have a question about. The scales are the Red Point scales, which I've seen around on the net, though the blade has Bismarck stamped on it. From what I could tell searching the net, I couldn't find where any Red Point razors has a "Bismarck" stamped on them. Is this likely a rescale, or did they make them like this?
I'm going to look at it tomorrow to see if it is even in good shape, but wanted to check on this first. Here's a pic of it, though it is a bit on the blurry side.

I do not think Red point used any Bismarck blades; it may have been rescaled in its lifetime.
The Bismarck blade I have is a really good shaver, if I were in your shoes and it was in decent condition and the price was right I would snag it up.
I would then personally put a different set of scales on the blade and work on finding a good and proper home for the scales, but that’s just me...:p

I kind of figured it was a rescale from what I've researched. Either way, if it was in decent shape I planned to get it anyway, since I'm still trying to amass my 7 day set! I've got 3 so far and having a blast with them.

The one that I have does not say Bismarck. But that doesn't mean all of them are the same. I understand them to be made for the Utica cutlery co. In Solingen Germany for ~10yrs. But they may not have all been made by the same Germany company?

My first was a Dovo best quality from SRD, then a whipped dog special which I still haven't found out much about, though it is a pretty razor, and finally (and my fav so far) is a Simmons Hardware Co. No. 8 Special that I found at a local antique shop.
Here's a couple pics of the second two...
