Wisteria handle, on or off?

keep it!!!

It depends on what kind of shaver you are.
If you are the kind that has lather all over the razor, take it off because it will seep underneath the wrapping and start to rust.
If you are the kind that only ever has the blade wet but not the scales / handle / whatever else, then leave it on.

I've never used a Kamisori, but I'd take it off. I think it would really mess with my OCD, I'd always be worried it wasn't even or something. Also I'd worry about moisture under it.

BTW, I also like the idea of the solid navy blue 2 button suit, 3 dress shirts and 2 ties, though I would have saved my money on the ties...

The shirts I purchased were buttons, not French Cufflinks. Perhaps another time in the winter when I have money to splurge.
One was a blue pattern tie and the other was black striped. Money well spent to be dapper.

Thanks for the heads up on the pictures, and I will leave it on for now when I receive it. :o

I was more thinking where do you get a good suit, 3 dress shirts, and 2 ties for the price of an Iwasaki?! I think my last 3 dress shirts were the price of an iwasaki, but they didn't come with a suit or 2 ties lol

And hopefully they were a mix of French and barrel cuff. French for being awesome. And barrel for job interviews. Less formal things.

No no, lol. I wish, total was around I believe 700, the two ties were a gift. :rofl2:

I recently had the opportunity to try that Iwasaki model, and I feel that the wrapping was beneficial for a nice sturdy grip.

I'm not sure about others, but I've never had a problem with getting water on the scales of a western straight and it wasn't an issue when using the Iwasaki either. I guess it depends on your shaving technique :shrug:

I have no idea, but bad things does happen (to me) at times, Ryan. Like that one time, where my cell phone fell inside a toilet. Things that don't usually happen, happens. I'm waiting on my Iwasaki, and hopefully I won't have a problem with water on the handle either.

LOL I've never dropped my cell in a toilet, but have been wary of the possibility at times :)

Don't get me wrong, caution can be a good thing. Especially when razors that cost hundreds of dollars are concerned. Everybody has their own style when shaving. Some guys seem to almost submerge their razors when shaving, and need to dry the scales and pivots thoroughly with Qtips and toilet paper when they are done. Others are so paranoid about water touching the razor that they wipe on a towel and never use water on a razor. I guess you'll have to decide where you fall on the spectrum and just how cautious you want to be.
