TI Starter Kit. Yes or No?

Is there another alternative than this TI starter kit?

If so what would you compile as a Razor and Strop set.
The other Items I already have, just not as nice.

Nice set.. I got one of those strops a. While back and it is pretty thin,but well made. I drunk stropped it thoughh and put slice in it that is remarkable..

So with your knowledge would you recommend this set or build your own?

You are after a razor and a strop? I would just buy a shave ready razor from someone who is reputed to sell shave ready razors, spend however much you are comfortable spending. and the strop, a lot of people are happy with the big daddy strops from star shaving on ebay. If you want something a bit more expensive you can go with a SRD modular paddle strop, they sell replacement components for it so that might be a good way to go if ur set on getting something more high end as your first strop. I used a piece of leather with a hole in it as my strop for months, I've upgraded to one of the cheapest strops you can buy, and I've picked up some vintage strops which I'm going to have a go at restoring.

I received one of those for my Christmas gift last year. I really like the set and use all of the components often. The only complaint I had was that the set came with a Bruckle brand razor, not a TI. I called and they explained that this was a vintage razor that they were putting in a few sets. If you want a TI razor I would call first to make sure you were getting a set with a TI. Overall I am pleased with the set. I feel that it was a good choice for a person just starting out.

Ti is a well known brand and respected so they are a safe bet to buy. However they are a higher end brand so will typically cost more.

If you are looking to spend less you can look around and probably find a dovo kit for less.

Or you can buy a vintage blade and strop separately.

Or a dovo best quality and then a separate strop
