So I just got this gorgeous 15/16 carbo magnetic razor from an eBay seller. I had read that that were made in New York, but this one has written Germany works on the opposite side of the tang. Here are a couple of pictures:

Great lookin Blade
Really sorry to hear about the "personality problem", and that it wasn't made in NY. Those crappy German made razors are a real drag. Send a PM for my address and I'll relieve you of the problem ..... :rofl2:
Kidding aside, that is a beauty ! :chapeau
Tell me you're not going to use it to finish drywall with :)
Lol
Nice score
:tu
Mike

It probably has a superiority complex because it knows it's such a good shaver!!
That one is in really nice condition.
Enjoy
No I was planning to make a brush handle that matched the razor on the others potter's wheel.
That thing is boss. Enjoy.
Hey Martin
Correct me if wrong from that info I can conclude that the razor was made before the 1940's
Does the no ground, and no hone advertisement indicates that the razor
A) should not be honed
B) doesn't need to be honed
C) no grinding or honing were used to create a factory edge?
That is all pure hype. It is high carbon steel and was forged, tempered and ground just as any razor is. Never was a razor that didn't need to be ground and honed. The magnetic part is also marketing hype as is the 're-carborized steel'.
Yeah I restored a Sears "Self-Honing" razor and it never self honed :( I think some of that old advertising was all hype like Jimmy says.

Really sweet razor Ya got there :tu
I could not resist shaving tonight and let me tell you it is a smooth shaver and really forgiving.
I really like my 5/8 Carbo-Magnetic. It was my first well-informed razor purchase. Hones easily and shaves smoothly.
Well I got lucky since it only needed a good stropping.
I'll do you a solid and give you $6 for it, twice what the add says it sells for.
I am sorry I don't do money, I only do magic beans
Would Mexican jumping beans suffice?
Personally, I think you're the dude running around the neighborhood slashing bicycle tires.
Who leaves bikes outdoors anyway. I know I would never leave my beautiful Look 595 or my Ridley Helium outside unattended.
