Any ideas on how to prevent water spots? I am very careful to rinse and dry after each pass, but those water spots will turn up anyway. Not on all my razor, but on some. I oil (Ballistol) after every shave. Thank you, in advance.

Check between the scales is dry before storage. Not a bad idea to leave open overnite.
Do not store in humid conditions e.g. bathroom.
Stop the rinsing. Just wipe the razor dry with tissue paper or towel etc.
Don't handle the blade with bare fingers without wiping & oiling. Moisture or acidic skin chemistry can be an issue.
I always dry my razor and let it sit out over night without being closed. This way the scales and blade dry before contacting each other.
+1 with Jeff on this one Greg. Make sure the entire blade, scales and pivot are dry. Pat them down with TP, the take a fresh dry piece of TP and wipe it down. Fold the piece I TP in Half and stick it through the scales and wipe it out, although you should avoid getting any water in there in the first place. Invest in a razor stand if you don't have one, i think they're $20 on SRD. Stands are great for putting your razor down while shaving as well do you don't bang the edge up.
Let dry open. Few hours.... Over night... Close and put away.
also consider stoping on linen and leather before leaving out to dry.
In the Storage Box i use, i´ve put a lil packet of silica gel when i store the Razors for a longer time, maybe it could be usefull after drying it at the air.
