Run dont walk away from this junk!!!!!!
I wouldn't buy it myself. It looks like something to avoid. Have you checked the classifieds here?
Might look good above the fireplace but then there is the embarrassment of having bought it. I have 1 hiding away somewhere :<0)
If I could find it I would give it to ya BUT, the postage is worth more so what's the point !
The only reason I would give to buy it is so that you have something to use to practice stropping, honing and shaving angles without any worry as to cutting anything like your face or strop and especially your whiskers. I bought one like this for that exact reason and it seemed to have really helped with my stropping as I have yet to knick my strop or roll my edge on my real razor. But yeah look at the classifieds for a good affordable razor.
ixnay on the azor ray.
Now this is the kind of information I was looking for! Not gonna buy it...I don't buy tools to look at! Thanks fellas!
I've seen this before and was tempted to buy it. Not for the blade but the scales. I have a blade that might good great in them. If any one has bought these... What's the scales like???
Here is something I did pick up...I don't think a tad over 11 bucks is too bad!http://payments.mobileweb.ebay.com/p...B=true&trxId=0
Got an item # ? The link just takes me to the main ebay page.
Well that sucks...I'll fix it!
So here are the pics from the Ebay link..and that is actually what I wanted to post!Attachment 135075Attachment 135076
Even if the brush that came with the mug is junk I really like the mug!
Had one in for honing a while back - can only echo the 'run don't walk away' sentiment so admirably presented above!
It is a chinese made item. Last time I looked on Ali-BaBa the price was $3.00 - $10.00 a piece, and minimum order was 20 pieces up to 1000 pieces when the price dramatically drops.
FWIW the 'Krieger' stainless steel and Pakka-wood razor/knife is sourced from the same place - and we all know what they are like, right?! :)
The scales aren't too bad, but not that well finished. Besides that they are very thick and weigh a lot. The blade is no lightweight itself, and each scale is about as wide, maybe a bit wider, than the blade.
Regards,
Neil
They are not worth the money. Stainless and extremely heavy. Better used to cut your steak than shave with.
