So what disc? seems unlikely that the Toyota splines would be same as a TR3? So an intregal slave cylinder/thowout bearing?
That bellhousing. NOW I am wondering about a pilot bearing/bushing? ...

So how will you adapt the trans? I guess original flywheel, Toyota disk and throwout bearing. Which pressure plate?
Hydraulic system, adapter plate? Rear mount?

Yup. Waving a hot torch over before welding will burn up as much as you can.

Pretty thick and important stuff. I would not take a flame to it, myself. Aluminum wire mig might not be enough. Someone with a hot tig torch with a pedal I think.

I would be tempted to button that puppy up and go with it, esp if the input shaft gear looks fine.
