I think knife making is the national hobby for Finland. You google a Finnish knife maker & often he'll come up as a musician or IT guy but makes knives in his backyard workshop.

Hmm, never seen any slow Shapton. Had to ask. We've even had guys use the glass side of their glass stones.
A hard razor will slow any stone to a degree.

So now you know why a lot of the old instructions that came with razors say "virtually flat on the face" :)

The M5 12k & the HNK are similar except for size, in that the M5 is bonded to a ceramic layer so much thinner.
The 12 k is a fast stone . You sure you're honing on the right side ? ;)
