For sure one of the most smooth and deep shave ...
specially with an open-comb DE with a big gap.
Celestino, I think I just drooled on the screen of my computer, that brush handle is amazing!
Razor: Dubl Duck Special no1
Brush: NewForest Tubby 1
Soap: GFT Eucris
ASB: Tabac
Todays shave was not one of my best. New soap that had a OK lather but smell reminds me of a cheap Axe spray lol. and the razor was new aswell so i gave it a try with the edge it had. and it was not very good at all. back to the hone's with this one.

An over-confident shave punished with two sincere nics. I ordered this razor just out of curiosity. It's by no means cheap and I only wanted to see what an evolved DE in the 21st century would look like. Well... It's BIG and HEAVY.
The weight helps to just "let the razor do the work", but it's also SO big that it almost feels clunky. I like size, don't get me wrong, but this head is BIG. Then the weight. There where the Toggle razor is heavy with a touch of elegance, this one is just plain HEAVY. It's okay though if the shave is okay. I was a tad over-confident and that left me with two fat nics. You just DON'T mess with sharp German steel, period. This is a well designed razor, well balanced and surely open for more exploration. Next time I'll pop in a Feather blade and see where it gets me. :)
I find the feather works well in this razor for the days I use a de. You are brave to go with max setting I have mine about a third from lowest, could possible open it a bit more but it works ok to me
[QUOTE=MrMagnus;1198880][CENTER]Razor: Dubl Duck Special no1
Brush: NewForest Tubby 1
Soap: GFT Eucris
ASB: Tabac
Magnus Don't give up on the Eucris, I found it likes a bit more water than some and a little more work, also works better with some brushes than others but when you get it right its not a bad spam if a little strong on the nose :)

Wednesday
Razor | Jernbolaget Frameback | Cream | Tabac | After Shave | Tabac
Quite a nice shave this morning, but it was carried out with some pain. Last night at bouldering I ripped a whole heap of skin off my arm, and then I got all depressed thinking maybe I was just too old to be bouldering, and I should just give up and get fat.
The shave brought me out of that mood somewhat, the Tabac assisted, as did nicely polished handmade brown leather boots, a nice jacket and nice vintage cufflinks.
By the time work was finished and I had listened to an excerpt of Martin Luther King’s speech on the radio (I believe the speech was given 50 years ago) and had committed to find the audio and put it on my music player so I could listen to it in the morning I was feeling much, much better.
I hope you're all feeling much much better too, which means that if you were feeling pretty chipper before you're now over the moon and quite ecstatic, really.

Every day I'm experimenting and trying and finally I stick with what best works for me
However, depending on the razor I can change the angle to one that I do better.
