Prep: hot shower
Razor: G. Wostenholm & Son CANUCK
Razor: WW2 Gillette Khaki
Blade: Feather (day 2)
Brush: Wilkinson Sword
Soap: Proraso white tub
Passes: 3 (WTG x2, XTG)
Post: cold water, alum, Proraso blue
First pass done entirely with the straight today! I still find my self struggling to find a comfortable grip on the straight, which did have me concerned about shaving my neck area, but I took it slow and all is well. I did get a nice nick on each cheek... That square tip is not forgiving at all.
I am really enjoying shaving with the straight, but a round tip might have been a better starting razor.
Because of the nicks, I decided to add the alum to my post shave. It didn't sting as much as I feared!
Ahhhh the Proraso, just can't beat that soap, great stuff, excellent price. Try and get a tub of the Proraso Red, it's a sandalwood, completely awesome! And if you see it, splurge another $8.50 and grab a tube of the Proraso Blue (only comes in a cream), it's a little more than the other soaps, but one of their best!!

Yup... Done it. I honed this razor to perfection. One of these "effortless edges" that I cherish. Only the razor seems to do the work. Even the chin area was flawless. If only all shaves were like this. :)
The Iperborea is almost the last of the Villoresi samplers. I like his work. This one, the misses even liked, so I got lucky. ;)

I did this shave last night but was too tired to post. I'm feeling a bit "under the weather", tired, and seem to be dealing with a bout of melancholy for the last few days.

I didn't use the straight on my neck today, but I did get in two passes on my face, WTG and XTG. Almost made it nick free, but it turns out the straight doesn't like my mole...
I also switch hands today. It wasn't as awkward as I though it would be, but will take some getting used to.

Fantastic shave that I didn't want to end. Have a good weekend, Gents!
It's been a while since I posted regularly. I hope to get back on track. Today I took out my max razor. I found this hone at an antique store a couple days ago.
I love sandlewood. This combo makes a great über lather. I started my shave . Max razor is always sharp and give a close shave. Once started I ran across the hone. 20 laps on water. Wow she really tamed the edge. Very smooth and extremely close shave. I'm loving it .
Still not sure if it's a thuri or swedinstienAttachment 152199
