SOTD :
Three "14", one Monserrat pre-Fila (probably from José's father), one Fila 14 DT, and one "german" 14, who looks exactly like the 14 DT (I wonder if it's not a re-named Fila).
Soap Tcheon Fung Sing Almond,
Brush Vie-Long horse and boar.

None of them is mine, the two Monserrat were home for restoration, and the "german" one was lent to me by a friend, I wanted to see if there were any different feeling during the shave.
There were not really... The blade of the Monserrat father is a little more rigid, and the german was a little more soft (probably because it was shaving for a longer time).
Pretty good shave :beer1:

May this “Hump Day” signal that “the worst is over!”~Richard
Type “D” Schick: 1935, American Mug, EverReady” Butterscotch, Stirling Bay Rum, vintage HESS Rose face lotion.
The Day? Cloudy and 32ºF /0ºC. The Shave? I now remember why my Dad often left for work with little bits of TP stuck to his face. There are “corners” on the blade! A very assertive razor and one pass is all I need today! All the other players made a fun shave!
The Schick “D” was the first “injector razor", it also opened for cleaning as in the photo. An opening feature was not seen again till the Hydro-Magic of 1955. They must have figured out that they were in the business of selling a lot of blades for their, relatively cheap in cost, razors! An aside: The early Schick razors used a lot of Beryllium copper in their manufacture. It was later designated a possible carcinogen during manufacturing but not in stable( finished) products. For worker safety they may have phased out any production using that material.
