May this week help us all to realize how much we have to be thankful for!
Mappin and Webb “Shilling Razor,” Derby stick, Staffordshire mug, Horse hair brush, NOS 1908 real California Perfume co. Bay Rum. (Probably been refilled though.....
The Day? Above 0ºC and melting. The Shave? Well, a two pass and touch-up shave with the old blade. All were smooth and enjoyable, Whoever refilled the Bay Rum bottle had booze on the mind, probably witch hazel and white lightnin'

A bit on the Razor, It appears to have been forged after 1864 or so due to the Mansion House on the tang, and before 1891. The scales are self wedged horn and in perfect condition.

Cooler here this morning and just a dusting of snow, 23ºF/-5ºC. Clearing this afternoon and maybe 45ºF/7ºC, but lots of sun. A very nice shave this morning indeed. The Savage is smooth as silk and the Mitchell's is always a top quality lather. The reset SOC boar is perfect. Have a good one folks.
Sunday, 11.23.14
Hot Water Splash
Vito's Extra Super Shave Soap
Morris&Forndran Blonde Badger in Butterscotch
DOVO Prima Silver Steel in Ebony
Scrupleworks Vegetable Tanned Horse .. 60/60
Witch Hazel
Penhaligons Opus 1870 Edt
Today's soap and razor were gifts from friends, and fine performers.
The DOVO is pictured on my prized Select La Veinnette .. My first natural stone. It seems I've come full circle, after countless stones, to find that I needed no others after this first stone. Ahh well ... live and learn... But, I must admit that I enjoy using them all.
A refreshing start to a pleasant Sunday ...
