Okay this is my first SOTD so be gentle with me. I've been thinking about some theme shaves so this one is the tradesman's shave. The tradesman shave is more about function than form. That doesn't mean bare bones and bargain basement necessarily it just means that it has to do with proper grooming and proper presentation and not about fancy scents and pampering for the guy that takes care of your utilitarian needs. More a salt of the Earth and less fine dining kind of guy.

Of course shower first.
Preshave is regular hair conditioner. Whatever the wife has in the shower because God knows I won't touch that stuff.
Soap is Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap The lanolin and other emollients are kind to the skin and give a clean shave which prevents rash and nicking. This is important working outside in the elements.
Razor is a Wade & Butcher square point pre 91. Again not necessarily fancy but very good quality and reliable for generations: a future heirloom piece.
Strop is an Heirloom Workshops 3" Heirloom Artisan Roughout Heavy Draw Steerhide because, as every tradesman knows, tools are not a place to skimp. Thanks out to Tony Miller.
Brush is an Omega Boar Bristle
Mug is a novelty mug sent to me by a friend at SRP. I don't know whether I'm honored or the butt of a joke but a good tradesman is thick skinned and has a sense of humor.
Follow up is with OSMA Alum Block. This helps prevent rash and weepers, a must for working in the Florida heat.
AS is plain ol' store brand rubbing alcohol 70%.
Shaved, clean and presentable as any upstanding tradesman should be
